The Young and the Restless Poll Results: How Do You Like Abby and Chance?

Let’s face it, if there weren’t already another Chabby — Chad and Abby — on Days of our Lives, we’d be calling the budding pairing of Chance and Abby the same thing. But there ain’t enough room on this site for both of them. So the originals, Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi, can keep their names. And we’ll call The Young and the Restless pair of Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance (Donny Boaz) Abance, just to keep them straight. But is this couple even deserving of a smoosh name? How almost 6,000 viewers feel:

The Young and the Restless: Give Chance a… Chance

We like that we’ve seen so far, 80% of you cheer. Chance and Abby made a good team during the hostage situation. She played the hysterical damsel in distress while he jumped down from an air vent to save the day.

And then Chance has helped Abby solve the case of the alleged jewel thief, as well as figure out how Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) might have rigged their computer security system. It turned out Abby was the thief, ready to nab Phyllis.

He’s (presumably) single, she’s single… No reason why both shouldn’t take a chance. (See what we did there? Twice?)

Cease and Desist

Could those two be any more boring, a smaller 20% of The Young and the Restless fans wonder? Abby has yet to do anything interesting since the day she was born. And that part was only interesting because Ashley (Eileen Davidson) stole Victor’s (Eric Braeden) sperm to make it happen.

And everyone may keep saying that Chance is some super-secret-agent, but he’s also the guy who didn’t make sure Colin’s (Tristan Rogers) handcuffs were tight enough to keep him from escaping. So perhaps his reputation is a bit overblown.

Sure, there’s no reason for them not to take a chance. But you also can’t think of any reason to watch. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
