The Young and the Restless Poll Results: Fans Pick Favorite Wedding of All Time

Last week, The Young and the Restless offered a major treat for both new and longtime fans. They reran the episode of Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first wedding. From back in the days when soaps had lavish budgets and most of them were visible on the screen.

That got us thinking about of those romantic walks down the aisle. So what was your favorite Genoa City wedding of all time? How almost 6,000 veteran fans voted:

See It To Believe It

A winning 55% of the audience loved what they saw this past Friday. The glitz! The glamour! The Colonel Austin! The Brooks sisters! The big hair! The shoulder pads! The teeny-tiny Victoria! This is how weddings should be done. And knowing that Victor and Nikki would go on to break up – and reunite – a half dozen times afterward in no way dimmed your enjoyment!

A Shick Shwedding!

A smaller 24% voted for Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow). But we’re not sure which one they’re referring to. Would it be the very first wedding, when they were still young and hopeful? Or maybe even the most recent one, which blew up in their faces when word came out that Nick slept with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Aren’t fans lucky they have so many options to choose from?

Tied Up

Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan), and Billy (now Jason Thompson) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) both tied with 8% of the vote. In both cases, fans also have multiple options to choose from. And, when it comes to Villy, they even have two different Billys! Victoria initially married the Billy Miller version.

Last Place For Christine

Only 5% picked – and remembered – when Christine (Lauralee Bell) married Danny (Michael Damian). He is long gone, and she’s barely seen – not to mention remarried to Paul (Doug Davidson). Seems the fanbase isn’t exactly carrying a torch. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
