The Young and the Restless ice storm saw Elena, Devon, and Nate working as a team to help the young man who stumbled into their not quite ready for primetime clinic. Nate (Sean Dominic) did the doctoring, while Devon (Bryton James) got to play hero by following the boy home, figuring out where he lived, and promising to throw money at his problems. Elena (Brytni Sarpy) was also there. She had the breath mints.
We know what close quarters like this mean: There’s a triangle a-brewing! So we thought we’d ask the fans, which one is the right man for Elena. Almost 6,000 fans replied:
Stick with Devon, 75% of the audience advises. Let’s look at this practically. He’s the longer-running character, so he is much more likely to stay on the canvas come the next YR budget meeting.
He’s filthy rich and can fund all of Elena’s little hobbies, like clinics and free medical care. They’re already together, so it’s a path of least resistance kind of thing. And it’s not like he’s hideous to look at. You’ve got everything any woman could want. Why would you want to risk that?
A smaller 25% of you are intrigued by the Elena and Nate pairing. They certainly have more in common. They’re both doctors. That’s a bit more important than… what exactly does Devon do? Something with music and talent and… communicating? Let’s face it, Devon is a lightweight compared to Nate, and someone as serious – you might say, dour – as Elena can’t be happy with that for long.
Devon is a fling. She was at loose ends, and he… come one, let’s all identify the elephant in the room… Devon was just looking for someone to help him get over Hilary (Mishael Morgan). And he hasn’t, yet. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
