Give Chelsea a break on The Young and the Restless. Nobody can be all good all the time. People slip up. Tell a white lie. Bring home supplies from the office. Jaywalk against the light.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) hides a suitcase full of money, gets Kevin (Greg Rikaart) to launder it, and attracts a thug to Genoa City who ends up holding her, Connor (Judah Mackey), Adam (Mark Grossman), and Abby (Melissa Ordway) hostage.

Could happen to anyone. Then again, it does seem to be more of a habit with Chelsea. Will she always be a con? What almost 4,000 fans said about that:

Of course, Chelsea will always be a bad seed, 65% of you are stunned you were even asked. And being happy is no defense against it. She was supposedly happy with Nick (Joshua Morrow) the first time around. But that didn’t stop her from hiding tons of cash in the walls.

And now she and Nick are allegedly happy again. But Chelsea still needs a nest egg. An illegal one. That she doesn’t tell anyone about. It’s for Connor’s education. Yeah, that’s it. Or in case he needs another cornea transplant. Or, more likely, in case Chelsea pulls another scam gone bad… and has to make a quick getaway.

Reform School

Chelsea is a good girl, 35% of The Young and the Restless fans insist on looking at the bright side. She didn’t ask for Calvin’s illegal money. That guy from Dynasty and Santa Barbara just gave it to her. It would be rude to say no.

And Chelsea didn’t want to bother Nick. He has so much on his plate these days. Chelsea wasn’t pulling a scam, she was putting other people’s interests ahead of her own. Chelsea is a giver.
