The only new person to arrive on The Young and the Restless recently was a stabby psycho. You know what this means? It means that if single people want to hook up, they have to go back to a familiar well. (There is also the problem that half the town is related to the other half.)
The Young and the Restless Polling
Which brings us to today’s question: Should Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) take another stab – sorry, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), poor choice of words – at their on-again, off-again relationship? What a whopping nearly 22,000 voted!
Danger, Will Robinson
Don’t go there, 84% of you warn. Don’t even think about it. And certainly don’t discuss it. OK, so Phyllis and Nick kissed. They’ve kissed lots of times before. And, ultimately, none of those times have worked out. So why should this time be any different?
Phyllis can bring over all the take-out dinner in the world. They can play video games until their thumbs fall off. They can discuss their wonderful daughter, Summer (Hunter King), and their lost good times. And then they can remember the bad times. ALL the bad times.
And they can back away slowly from each other, understand that they are never, ever getting back together. And be happy about that. Like we all will be.
Love the One You’re With
Phyllis is a pariah in Genoa City. Nick has burned his bridges with Sharon (Sharon Case), and cut Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) loose. Both are with other guys now. So what options does Nick really have?
Phyllis is there. She’s ready, willing, and able. And she doesn’t have a lot of other options, either. So, sure, go for it, 16% of the audience shrugs, more indifferent than enthusiastic. You’ve watched it before, you can watch it again. Maybe…. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
