The Young and the Restless just finished an entire theme week of classic Paul and Christine episodes, from them sleuthing together and trying to get married to finally getting married and his crazy ex trying to break them up. (Not to be confused with Christine’s ex-husband’s ex-wife trying to kill them, just because she’s crazy, too.)
When YR returns to broadcasting new episodes, do you want to see more of this classic couple? Find out what fans told us about Paul and Christine!
Almost 47% of you love Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) and are dying to watch them again, preferably on the front burner. Surely, there are dozens of stories to be told about the marriage of Genoa City’s top cop and the prosecuting attorney who brings the bad guys he arrests to justice. They can be like Nick and Nora Charles! Or Hart to Hart!
Then again, 36% only want to see more Paul on The Young and the Restless. It made no sense when Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) was suddenly doing all the investigating or when Chance (Danny Boaz) was the one crashing through the ceiling at the last minute to rescue hotel guests in distress. Christine, on the other hand, can keep showing up for trials and other legal dealings. You don’t miss her so much.
A smaller 16% of the audience has been living perfectly fine without either member of the Williams duo. To you, they’re ancient history. Didn’t they get married in the last century or something? Yeah, nobody needs to see that.
Only 1% voted to see more Christine, rather than Paul. He may be of Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) generation – they do have a son together – but Christine is still young and hip. And she ain’t going anywhere. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
