The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, January 20, 2020, features a study in lost self-control, as Kyle couldn’t control his jealousy – or his fists, while Phyllis couldn’t control her instincts, and Mariah couldn’t control her fears.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
A power outage during a Jabot event forced Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Lola (Sasha Calle) to move dessert onto the patio. In the winter. In Wisconsin. It is, of course, a great success.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) grudgingly gave credit to Theo (Tyler Johnson) for his successful social media initiatives. He couldn’t, however, handle Theo offering culinary kudos to his wife. Kyle punched Theo, then fought with Lola about his ridiculous attitude, then stomped out in a childish huff.
Earlier, Jack (Peter Bergman) introduced Theo to Jill (Jess Walton). Jill took Theo away to shares stories about her and his grandfather, Stuart Brooks. Will Jill tell Theo how she faked a pregnancy in order to steal Stuart from her own, long-suffering mother?
Phyllis: Am I Blue
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) taunted Chance (Danny Boaz) about dating Abby. Abby blew her off. When the couple headed upstairs to get romantic, the fire alarm went off. Abby suspected Phyllis, but Chance said his security measures would coat whoever pulled the alarm in blue dust. Phyllis flashed Chance to prove there is not a hint of blue on her body. Later, she tossed a pair of coated gloves.
Home Again
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) popped back into Genoa City for a quick reunion with Mariah (Camryn Grimes). The two reconnected and Mariah admitted she was worried Tessa might never come back. She didn’t, however, tell Tessa about Sharon’s (Sharon Case) cancer diagnosis.
Meanwhile, Sharon and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) spent a quiet evening at home, but she couldn’t concentrate on a card game. Rey was supportive. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
