Victoria Rowell can currently be seen in re-broadcasts of The Young and the Restless as Dru. Viewers can also see her in a new home makeover show set to premiere later this month.
Victoria Rowell In New Show
Rowell is set to host Trash vs. Treasure, which follows the three-time Daytime Emmy nominee as she moves throughout Los Angeles and Kingston, Jamaica, helping families in need of a redo for their homes. Rowell not only hosts the show, but she also created it and acts at the program’s producer.
Premiering later this month, the show follows the 11-time NAACP Image Award-winning actress as she travels helping families needing to refresh, reimagine, and beautify their homes.
“I am honored to be able to help these beautiful families with big hearts, who all welcomed me into their homes,” Rowell says. “Everyone deserves beauty and to live in a home filled with purpose. With a little bit of elbow grease, discovering hidden treasures, creativity, and a whole lot of love, I want to transform lives – one home at a time.”
In the trailer for the new program, Victoria Rowell helps three families. One story is about a grandmother who suffers from issues related to health and mobility. She lives with her daughter and several grandchildren. Another family is a single mother of five who lives with her teenage son in a studio apartment, having survived domestic violence and other challenges. Lastly, Rowell helps a single mom who lives with her two children in a home filled with items that belonged to her late mother.
“The goal of Trash vs Treasure is to re-purpose preexisting items while complementing it with some TLC,” Rowell says. Watch for emotional reactions when families see their new re-done spaces.
Trash vs. Treasure premieres on July 16 on UMC. Check out the trailer for the show below. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
