Mishael Morgan, who plays Amanda Sinclair on The Young and the Restless, is adding some love to her house as her son, Niam, is now the owner of a new pet—one that has a very symbolic and important name.
On her Instagram page, Morgan introduced the new “arrival” to her followers. “Just picked up the newest member of our family!” she wrote. “We asked Niam what he wanted to name him and he said ‘George!’. I’m not sure how much of a coincident that was, but welcome to the family George, you will be a constant reminder that we are never to ordinary to change the world. Rest in power #georgefloyd”
Alongside the caption, the actress posted a trio of adorable photos of Niam, wearing a shirt with the phrase, “The Future is Here,” with his new fish.
Last week, Morgan posted a photo of her two kids and expressed her thoughts on how she would talk about the events of the last couple of weeks to her children.
“These cuties sending love and [peace emojis] to everyone today! One day I will fully explain this very confusing time in history, and I hope they will be proud of all that we’ve done,” Morgan wrote. “History is being written as we speak, which side will you be on? I choose the side of peace, love, unity, justice and equality ❤️. #blacklivesmatter movement #unity #peace #ourhistoryourfuture”
Many fans were dismayed when Morgan’s original YR character Hilary was killed off the show after six years over a contract dispute and were thrilled to see her return this year as Amanda.
Being that Ms. Sinclair was raised in the foster care system, many speculate that she could be Hilary’s twin. How will that impact her life in Genoa City? Stay tuned! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
