Melody Thomas Scott The Young and the Restless
Nikki has a new job offer on The Young and the Restless, courtesy of Victoria’s invitation for her to join Newman Enterprises. However, that isn’t all she has. The character is also sporting a new hairdo! Her portrayer, Melody Thomas Scott, addressed what she has been affectionately referring to as “WigGate” on Twitter.
“I know there’ve been a lot of questions about Nikki’s wig,” Scott posted on Twitter. “Just wanted to share that everything is fine! When we resumed production, we had limited contact with our amazing glam team & needed a simple, short-term solution. You’ll see my real hair soon! #FakeHairDontCare #WigGate🙆🏼♀️.”
“I’m glad you said something!” replied @donovanmarcelle. “I was like…. what in the Mamas Family is going on here!!??!! I’m glad I saw the preview and your hair was BACK!!!!”
“You’re a beautiful woman and shouldn’t have to explain a damn thing!” posted @AmyWeaver1972. “To be honest I didn’t know it was a wig, but I don’t pay attention to that kind of detail! Just happy to see you all back safe! Much love from Michigan!”
“Hi Melody I think what matters the most is that you, the cast, and the crew are all fine and you are all back at work so we can continue to see everything that’s going on in Genoa City,” wrote @sharonlaa. “Anyway, have a great Sunday and stay safe too.”
“Melody, you look great in whatever you wear,” wrote @BowersR. “I could tell it was a wig but you look great in it. It was very sharp and business strong when you accepted Victoria’s offer.”
