Max Ehrich, formerly Fenmore on The Young and the Restless, is not just making headlines due to his real-life romance with Demi Lovato. The actor has landed a leading role in a new film.
According to Deadline, Ehrich is starring in Southern Gospel, which tells the story of Samuel Allen, a rock ‘n’ roll star who has to overcome perpetual challenges as he struggles to bring his childhood dream to life. The film also stars Katelyn Nacon, known to The Walking Dead fans as End.
“Feelin super grateful and wanted to share a big thanks to my incredibly supportive team,” Ehrich posted on social media.
In addition to his run as Fenmore on YR, for which Ehrich received four Daytime Emmy nominations in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. He also played Hunter May on the CBS series Under the Dome.
More recently, he appeared in the Lifetime series American Princess and the Netflix film Walk.Ride.Rodeo, which featured Ehrich’s original song, Ride.
J. Alphonse Nicholson (Just Mercy, Blue Bloods), Gary Weeks (Outer Banks, Spiderman: Homecoming, Burn Notice), and Justice Leak (Supergirl, The Vampire Diaries) also appear in Southern Gospel.
Max Ehrich made his The Young and the Restless debut as Fenmore in 2012 when his father, Michael (Christian Le Blanc) was celebrating his new position as then-interim district attorney. Fenmore was arrested after his bullying victim Jamie fell off a rooftop and was badly injured. Later, Jamie recanted that Fenmore had pushed him, but the damage was done — Fenmore turned to drugs.
Fenmore blasted his mother, Lauren (Tracey Bregman), for having an affair with Carmine Basco. After Carmine turned up dead, Fenmore was arrested, but just when it looked like he was going to the big house for good — Carmine turned up alive!
Fenmore went off to college, deciding to become a lawyer, ending Ehrich’s run in the role. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
