It’s hard to improve on perfection, but The Young and the Restless star Jessica Collins couldn’t resist going in to have her hair blown out, as the “salon” she visited was operated by none other than her adorable daughter Jemma! Collins, in fact, learned her daughter has the aptitude for a few careers!

“When Mama, Queen of Love accidentally stumbled into Jemma’s Dog Grooming and Veterinarian Retreat…” Collins posted. “#Summer2020 #swipeleft #EverythingIsFine 🤪👸🐶.”

Check out the slideshow in which Collins shares photos of her wearing a faux thumb cast, has her hair dried, has her temperature taken, and has her eyes examined. Mom played a lawyer, Avery Bailey Clark, on TV, but in real-life Collins may have either a beautician or a doctor on her hands!

Collins first came to the attention of soap fans when she was cast as ambitious Dinah Lee Mayberry on Loving. She hung around Corinth (and crossed over to Pine Valley to do some guest spots on All My Children) until 1993 and then headed to Los Angeles.

The actress worked regularly on such shows as Coach, Lois & Clark: the New Adventures of Superman, Diagnosis Murder, Beverly Hills, 90210, Dawson’s Creek, and Nip/Tuck. She was a regular on American Dreams, Big Shots, and Tru Calling.

Collins returned to daytime in 2011 as attorney Avery, who championed those wrongly convicted. Viewers learned that Avery was the sister of Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She quit the show in 2015 but was reunited with her YR pals the following year at the Daytime Emmys. There, Collins won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Since then, she’s appeared on such shows as 9-1-1, Grey’s Anatomy, and Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings. Alas, there’s no word of her coming back to Genoa City but fans would always welcome her back with open arms. And couldn’t Genoa City always use another legal eagle? The show is known for its courtroom showdowns, after all! The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
