The Young and the Restless actress Hunter King has apparently ended her engagement to Nico Svoboda after nearly two years.
Breakup For Hunter King
Us Weekly revealed the sad news. “They called off their engagement a few months ago,” a source told the magazine. “It was an amicable split. They obviously still follow each other on social media and care about one another.”
King, a two-time Daytime Emmy winner for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for playing Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless, met Svoboda on the show when he was a camera operator. The couple started dating in July of 2016 and were engaged in August 2018.
Speculation about the split started on social media earlier this summer when Hunter King shared photos on Instagram of her not wearing her engagement ring. The 26-year-old also posted a video with her dog sans ring. Other posts seemed to hide her left hand.
The last time Svoboda appeared on her Instagram page was back in August of 2019, in celebration of the one-year anniversary of their engagement. However, Svoboda posted a photo of the two of them in February on Valentine’s Day. “I had a great time dancing on clouds with you <3,” he wrote at the time.
In April, he answered a fan’s question about his favorite things about his fiancée. “Hunter is the sweetest, most loving person I’ve ever met in my entire life,” he posted. “Her talents extend past acting, yet she’s always humble. And her catalog of over a 1000 dance moves.”
The actress also did double-duty for two years on the CBS comedy Life in Pieces, showing her comedy chops as the dimwitted Clementine Hughes.
On YR, Summer is having more luck in the romance department than her portrayer, as she is back with true love Kyle after he dumped new wife Lola. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
