The Young and the Restless is getting ready to produce new episodes starting Monday but before that can happen, the show needs to make sure everyone is safe and one way to do that is to give coronavirus tests to every cast and crew member. On Thursday, Eric Braeden made his way back to the CBS studios to take that first step.
“At CBS FOR COVID 19 testing! Next to me is TONY MORINA, our EXECUTIVE PRODUCER!” Braeden tweeted alongside a snap of him and Anthony Morina outside the studio. Both men are also wearing masks for safety, something Braeden will be wearing at work at all times except for when the camera goes on and they tape scenes.
Earlier this week, Braeden tweeted a small video of himself showing how healthy he is and what good shape he is in by running up a large set of outdoor stairs. He even seemed to do this in character, tweeting, “Jack and Adam and BILLY BOY, GET READY FOR MY COME BACK!!!”
Those seem to be the usual suspects that Victor might go after when he returns, but when we last saw Victor, he was trying to convince Adam he really did (unwittingly) kill a man as a child to save his mother’s life many years ago.
Also, it seemed Jack and Victor had actually become friends, which still doesn’t sit right with fans. As for Billy, welp, he screwed up again by hurting Victoria, but the last we saw, Victor wasn’t too happy with his emotional blackmailing little girl.
Whatever Victor will be up to when the soap returns is anyone’s guess but at least we know its coming. Of course, Braeden, Morina, and everyone else who will be on the YR set will need to have negative COVID-19 tests before they can begin working. Making sure nobody is carrying the virus when taping resumes helps ensure everyone on set can be safe. There is a myriad of other safety protocols but it’s worth it for the actors to start bringing you new soaps. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
