The Young and the Restless News: Daniel Goddard Plays Surrogate Father

Fans of The Young and the Restless star Daniel Goddard know that he has two sons, Ford and Sebastian, with wife Rachael, but what they may not know is that he takes an active role in the upbringing and development of other children, too.

Big News For Daniel Goddard

“I am so excited and honored to share some fantastic news with you!” Goddard has posted on Instagram, “13 years ago Rachael and I wanted to sponsor a child, whom, without any financial support would receive no education, no healthcare, nor clean water or food. We searched far and wide for a nonprofit where every penny given would go to the Children & not to ‘over priced administrative costs or building a fancy new headquarters!’

“Then, through the grace of God, we came across ‘Africa Renewal Ministries’ a charity that was founded by a group of Christian Americans, who, on a mission to make a difference… moved to Uganda, bought land, and welcomed local families to move there, and begin building their new life!” he added. “And so our sponsorship journey began…

“Now, 13 years later… that little boy has grown up with a fabulous education and is now graduating from the Sponsorship Program…” Goddard proudly shared. “We love you Adrian, and are just so proud of you! You are an incredible young man who has overcome massive adversity and achieved truly wonderful things! ❤️ #SoProud #educationmatters #lovecanchangetheworld #childrenmatter.”

The experience was so rewarding that Goddard and Rachael wanted to continue it,” Goddard has shared. “Just wanted to share some more great news! Following Adrian’s graduation from the Africa Renewal Ministries sponsorship program (see post below 🙂 we have been asked to sponsor another child! And we couldn’t be happier! So please…. say a big hello to John! Little Mate! We can’t wait to watch you grow up!”
