Michael Muhney (ex-Adam) has been gone from The Young and the Restless for almost four years, but he’s still one of the most talked about actors from the show with a legion of loyal fans who’d love to see him return to the role of Adam.
Muhney devotees have pieced together why he left the show through various reports and they’ve formed their opinions as to whether or not they think Muhney was treated unfairly.
They may learn more this weekend when they check out an upcoming interview Muhney gave to Shaun Proulx, host of SiriusXM talk show, The Shaun Proulx Show.
Certainly, Muhney’s depature from Genoa City was controversial. At the time of his exit, he gave an interview in which he said that his own hubris was responsible for his leaving.
“Part of me feels this is because I’ve always been outspoken, and sometimes I’ve been too outspoken,” Muhney said told The Huffington Post (Canada).
TMZ, however, reported that one reason Muhney Y&R let Muhney go was because he had sexually harassed one of the show’s younger leading ladies.
Blogger Krisyn Burtt wrote earlier this year that Muhney denied any harassment in an interview he gave with The Peloton Brief Podcast: Real Talent with Phil Gaimon. However, now he has a new interview coming out. Will he shed any new light on his exit from Y&R in it?
Perhaps. Proulx teases that Muhney spoke with him in an interview set to post this weekend about his Y&R exit, the growth he’s had since then, as well as Muhney’s guest spot on next week’s episode of The Good Doctor on ABC.
The Young and the Restless airs weekends on CBS. Check local listings for time and channel.
