When The Young and the Restless was in need, he answered the call. And now pinch hitter Justin Gaston is offering up his latest lyrical contribution.
Justin Shares His Newest Song
The actor recently took to Instagram to announce the release of the single Which For You, a ditty which he co-wrote for use in the upcoming ION movie, The Christmas Sitters, which counts Gaston and his real-life wife Melissa Ordway, who plays YR’s Abby, amongst its cast.
In his post, Gaston wrote: “SO EXCITED for this song to come out. Wrote it with one of my best friends @i_am_mylen for the ION movie THE CHRISTMAS SITTERS coming out December 13th!!”
The Christmas Sitters, scheduled to premiere Sunday, December 13, 2020, is described by the network: “Facing holiday flight delays on a return trip from Europe, two parents double-book incompatible babysitters; the mother’s BFF lawyer friend, Nora, and the dad’s guitarist half-brother, Max, to look after their two kids and dog. After a rather stormy start, an attraction grows.”
Aside from Gaston and Ordway, the movie also stars Nathan Owens (ex-Cameron Davis, Days of our Lives), Tristin Mays, Chris Soules, and GloZell Green. For fans interested in hearing the song prior to its TV movie debut, Gaston revealed that it is available for download at Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music.
Though clearly a favored accomplishment, Wish For You is not Gaston’s sole musical endeavor. The actor competed on the singing competition program Nashville Star, performed on American Idol, and served as an opening act for singer Kris Allen. Gaston also appeared as the love interest in the music video for Taylor Swift’s Love Story.
Though he has spent the majority of 2020 appearing in feature films – including Night Into Day and Beautifully Flawed – Gaston’s most recent contribution has been on the small screen.
The actor has been playing Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV since November 23, 2020, after actor Donny Boaz tested positive for COVID-19. Gaston’s casting has seen him work opposite Ordway, his spouse of eight years. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
