The impeachment trial of the president is playing havoc with airings of your favorite soaps. But there’s good news for The Young and the Restless fans!
CBS.com has posted a new episode that was originally set to air this past Tuesday. It is also available on CBS All Access. You can click here to see it!
According to the summary provided by CBS, today’s episode deals with Victor (Eric Braeden) putting a plan into motion, Elena (Brytni Sarpy) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) playing nice, and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) making a surprise announcement. Watch for plenty of other characters to appear in the episode as well.
In fact, Nikki’s surprise announcement is about throwing a big party for the 50th anniversary of Newman Enterprises. She wants to dedicate most of the event to Victor and we can see a flashback episode coming as February marks 40 years of Eric Braeden on the soap.

The Young and the Restless History
YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
Bringing the Drama
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
