This longtime soap opera star celebrates today! The Young and the Restless’ (YR) Gina Tognoni will make some birthday wishes!
The actress won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series earlier this year, but long before she assumed the role of fiery vixen, Tognoni won over daytime fans on not one, but two soap operas.
She first came to the attention of soap viewers when she was cast as Kelly Cramer on One Life to Live in 1995, a role she played for many years before moving to Guiding Light in 2004. There, the actress won two Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress bringing to life the volatile but sympathetic Dinah Marler.
