The Young and the Restless hasn’t had a regular doctor in its cast for a while. That’s about to change now that the show is bringing back Dr. Nathan Hastings Jr., son of Olivia and the late Nathan.
EW.com broke the news that actor Brooks Darnell of the series Shadowhunters has been cast in the role of Nate, who was last seen on Y&R in 2011 when the part was played by Walter Fauntleroy.
Watch for Darnell to debut as Nate on Tuesday, July 3. He’ll be a treating Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who was the recent victim of a beating by the late J.T. (Thad Luckinbill).
As viewers can see in the exclusive EW clip, Nate, who is bunking with his uncle Neil (Kristoff St. John), is wasting no time in showing off his pecs and abs!
Ashley (Eileen Davidson), of course, knows who Nate is since she and Nate’s mom, Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams), were sorority sisters!
According to Darnell’s bio, ironically, he was a pre-med student on a football scholarship. His athletic career was cut short by a sports injury.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
