There have been quite a few Noah Newmans over the years on The Young and the Restless, but his most recent portrayer has recently left the show.
Are you sorry that Noah’s gone again? Soap Hub asked you to weigh in on this question. Read on for the results.
Noah’s Arc
Over 65% of you aren’t happy about Noah leaving. You feel that he should have been given a better storyline. Ironically, Noah was given a bigger tale in the episodes leading up to his exit.
Noah (Noah Adamson) blasted Mariah (Camryn Grimes) for having feelings for his girlfriend Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and wasn’t happy that his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case), knew about it all and didn’t inform him.
Adamson showed he has dramatic chops in these and other scenes, but it was too little, too late. Noah decided to leave town to get his life together.
Farewell, So Long
The rest of you, nearly 35%, are okay with Noah leaving since he wasn’t involved in that many stories anyway.
The show failed to find Noah a long-term love interest the way it had when his dad Nick (Joshua Morrow) fell in love with Sharon as teens. Noah had a series of girlfriends, but none of them managed to have the staying power that his parents have.
He’ll Be Back
Given that Noah is part of a key family (the Newmans) it’s inevitable that he’ll return. The character may pick up some business acumen working for his grandfather Victor’s (Eric Braeden) company overseas or he may pick up a career outside the business world.
Either way, when Noah comes back he’ll be stronger and more educated in the ways of the world. A variety of circumstances could bring Noah back to town. Perhaps it’ll be a Newman boardroom meeting or even the re-marriage of his parents! If he’s still single, Nick can line up to catch the garter!
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
