The Young and the Restless’ Daniel Goddard Celebrates An Anniversary Milestone

As Cane on The Young and the Restless, Daniel Goddard was devoted to Christel Khalil’s Lily. Off-screen, however, the actor is been happily wed for nearly two decades to his wife, Rachael.

Recently, Goddard took to social media to share anniversary news with his followers: “19 years ago today, I married my best friend and soulmate! And to this very moment… every day with you still feels like the day we met! @RachaelGoddardDesigns thank you for choosing me. You have made every second of the journey called life worth it. I love you baby!”

The couple met when Goddard was working as a waiter at Denzel Washington’s restaurant. Rachael, then a publicist, came in with one of her clients. She and Goddard spied each other across a crowded room and the rest, as they say, was history. But, actually, not right away. It took Goddard 10 days to call her because he was nervous and he also knew that she was the one.

Goddard and his wife have two sons, Ford born in 2006, and Sebastian born in 2008. They’ve taken them on vacations to see Goddard’s native Australia.

Next month, Rachael celebrates her birthday. Last year, Goddard raved about his wife on her special day. “This girl! This gorgeous, brilliant girl,” the actor posted. “This loving wife and adoring mother. This champion that is the rudder of our family. This tenacious warrior queen that has built her own incredible design business (Check out her incredible work @rachaelgoddarddesigns … end of shameless plug. 🤷‍♂️ what can I say I just want the world to experience her brilliance… ) This girl! My wife and mother of my children and the greatest person I know, and my best friend… You are loved.”
