Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts?

Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.

The week of January 29, 2018
Jason Canela debuts as Arturo on Friday, February 2. He’s playing a building contractor with lots of charisma who uses it to his full advantage. The former telenovela star appeared on Donde Esta Elisa, Cosita Linda and Ruta 35.

The soap has put out a casting call for two roles. One is a recast of Jack’s son, Kyle, who was last played by Lachlan Buchanan in 2016. The other is for a young actress to portray a character who’s familiar to the audience.

Two prominent stars are off the canvas. Max Shippee wrapped up his role as Graham, when his character was killed off. Meanwhile Daniel Hall’s Scott has been sent off on a journalist assignment and will be off screen indefinitely.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
