Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless (YR)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of May 13, 2019
Viewers haven’t seen the last of Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis). The popular actress, who returned to the soap earlier this month to take part in the show’s special tribute episode to the late Kristoff St. John (ex-Neil Winters), will apparently be sticking around Genoa City for a while.
Look for Devon’s (Bryton James) late wife, who passed away after a car accident back in July of 2018, to air for several episodes. Hilary is slated to appear to her widowed husband via some special visions.
Tyler Johnson has been cast as Theo Vanderway. The character is a former colleague of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) from his time in New York. The actor, whose credits include 30 Rock and Gossip Girl, is set to make his debut, next month.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
