Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless (YR)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.

The week of May 27, 2019
Another big return is on the Genoa City horizon. Elizabeth Hendrickson is headed back to the soap as Chloe Mitchell, a role she exited in 2017 when her character faked her death to avoid being prosecuted for the “murder” of Adam Newman.

After exiting YR, Hendrickson joined the cast of General Hospital as district attorney Margaux Dawson. Word is the actress will be doing double duty and appearing on both soaps.

Eileen Davidson is heading back to the soap for another appearance as Ashley Abbott. Look for the character to pay a visit to her mother Dina (Marla Adams) on Tuesday, May 28.

Christel Khalil resurfaces as Lily Ashby on Wednesday, May 29. Lily will be back in town for the reading of her father Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) will.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
