Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles?
Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Young and the Restless fold in surprise new parts?
Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of January 28, 2019
Genoa City’s best little trouble maker is back on the scene, this week. Hunter King returns for another run as Summer Newman on Tuesday, January 29.
The character was last on the canvas during the summer of 2018, during which time she seriously stirred things when she slept with her mother Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) beau Billy (Jason Thompson).
Y&R has been auditioning actors for the role of “Jeremy.” The character is Caucasian and in the thirty-something age range.
Speculation is that the testing could actually be for another Adam Newman recast. That role was last played by Justin Hartley, who left the soap in 2016 to tackle the role of Kevin on the NBC primetime hit, This Is Us.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
