Adam is in jail leaving Chelsea all alone on The Young and the Restless. He’s gone and she’s alone. Her situation has some fans believing there could be a new romance on the horizon.
Heading for Divorce?
Adam (Justin Hartley) and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) marriage has always been rocky. With Adam behind bars, the future looks bleak for them. The longer Adam is away, the more likely Chelsea could seek solace in someone else’s arms.
New Love on the Horizon?
Rumor has it Chelsea could end up falling in love with Adam’s older brother, Nick (Joshua Morrow). Some fans even think a recent warning from Adam for Nick to stay away from Chelsea could foreshadow an upcoming affair.
After Christian’s supposed death, Nick and Chelsea began to get close. While their connection was merely on a friendly basis, could it turn into something more?

While most fans can’t stand the thought of Adam not being Chelsea’s number one guy, in the soap world, love is easily forgotten. Writers may decide to pair Chelsea up with someone else and Nick seems to be the top pick at the moment. At least Nick is one of the nice guys who’ll try to do right by his brother’s bride. He already loves Connor; he and Chelsea’s kind history could go a long way.

Another Newman War?
However, there is a huge downfall. Adam and Nick had fought over a woman’s heart before when Sharon (Sharon Case) was bouncing between the brothers. Their already rocky relationship went through even more damage, and warring over Chelsea’s affections will cause a war that could last for years.
