The Young And The Restless Casts Brand-New Leading Man!

The Young and the Restless is upping its hunk quotient with a new character on the canvas. The show is tying the newbie through work to one of the show’s existing executive characters.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Tyler Johnson is going to start airing on the show as Theo Vanderway, who manages social media influencers.

This looks like it will put him in the path of Summer (Hunter King), who is savvy with social media and is using that skill in her job at Jabot.

Remember, both Summer and Kyle are ready to save Jabot with their modern 21st-century savvy. Could Theo become a love interest for Summer, although he might be a bit old for her like her mother’s former boyfriend?

YR viewers will learn Theo is a colleague of Billy’s (Jason Thompson) from when they were both in New York City. Billy seems to need another friend around, but hopefully this isn’t one who will put him back on a bad path.

Johnson’s credits include Chasing Life, 30 Rock, Men In Black 3, and Gossip Girl. Watch for the actor to make his debut on Monday, June 3.
