The Young and the Restless may very well be revving up Devon’s music business once again. The show has cast a former American Idol contestant to play Ana, Devon’s half-sister!
TV Insider reports that Y&R has cast Loren Lott, who competed on American Idol in season 14 (and made it into the top 16), as Ana Hamilton, the role previously played by Jamia Simone Nash.
Ana left Genoa City in 2012 when Katherine Chancellor (the late, great Jeanne Cooper) sent the youngster off to a school for singing in New Hampshire.
Presumably, Ana is coming back to town now, ready to embark on a music career that Devon (Bryton James) should be able to help with enormously!
The actress has certainly proven to be an accomplished singer, having also recently wrapped up a leading role playing Timoune in the critically acclaimed Broadway show, Once On This Island.
Lott is set to make her Y&R debut on Wednesday, November 28.
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
