The Young and the Restless Victoria Rowell
Victoria Rowell has kept herself quite busy since her days on The Young and the Restless, and her fans have been happy to go on her incredible ride with her.
One of her most popular projects has been The Rich and the Ruthless, which the actress created, produced, and directed. The show is a behind-the-scenes soap opera that follows the fictional story of a daytime drama and is loosely based on Rowell’s novel, Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva.
In the web comedy, which airs on the Urban Movie Channel, Rowell stars opposite Firefly’s Richard Brooks as married couple, Kitty and Augustus Barringer.
Additionally, Rowell has cast some of her former co-stars to play pivotal roles as well, including Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, YR) and Kimberlin Brown (ex-Sheila, The Bold and the Beautiful/YR).
It premiered in 2017 and is currently in the midst of filming Season 4. Victoria Rowell took to her Instagram page to show fans a behind-the-scenes look of her getting ready on set.
“Creating what I love! Hiring who I know can do the job in front & behind the camera,” Rowell wrote next to a photo of herself on the set —- wearing a mask for safety, of course!
She’s grateful that people wanted more of The Rich and the Ruthless and thanks fans for watching the Emmy-nominated show.
“Can’t wait for you to see what I hv in store for you NEXT!” she wrote.
Some of the first scripts of the show were written by Jamey Giddens, who went on to write Ambitions. Rowell is writing some of the scripts herself for the new season and has posted about how she feels “in her element” being so involved in all aspects of the show.
Rowell often keeps fans abreast about the series in Instagram with great photos behind the scenes and it’s easy to see the love she has for the show. Fans miss her in Genoa City but at least they get to see her doing what she loves. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
