Soap opera stories either crawl or fly by, meaning that sometimes we have to miss big developments. Never fear, Soap Hub is here to fill you in on what you missed last week on The Young and the Restless.

Saving Face
Much to Christine’s (Lauralee Bell) chagrin, she was informed that the District Attorney’s office and the City had agreed to settle with Victor (Eric Braeden) rather than allow his lawsuit to go to court.

Furthermore, Christine’s was ordered to give the press conference where the decision was broadcast. Fed up with all the bureaucracy Christine used the on-camera opportunity to announce that she would be retiring as soon as her term is ended.

Victor was tickled pink at his victory but it’s the only bright spot in his week. Those memory-clouding side effects he was warned about began to rear their ugly head. First, Victor forgets that he has paid his restaurant tab seconds after doing so. Then he confused Society with the Athletic Club. He and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) began to fear that this will become his new normal.

Inconclusive
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was stunned when Paul (Doug Davidson) revealed the coroner’s initially autopsy result on Calvin was deemed inconclusive.

She was convinced that Paul would arrest her for murder but Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) assured her that he will handle it. In private, Nicholas implied to Paul that if foul play was suspected he should look in Adam’s direction.

Bad Company
It turned out Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) knew exactly what she was talking about when she named dropped a Chancellor to her new guy pal Adam (Mark Grossman).

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) revealed to Nicholas that Phillip Chancellor IV was jailed in Vegas for assault and Adam posted his bail. Nicholas gave the details to Chance’s grandmother, Jill (Jess Walton), who was less than pleased to learn about the company Chance was keeping.

Under The Bus
Desperate to punish Chelsea for turning to his brother, Adam arrived at the police station and gifted Paul a flash drive.

Inside was a recording of a heated conversation he had with Chelsea concerning Calvin. Perhaps this proved she had the motive to kill her husband after all? The Young and the restless airs weekday days on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
