Ever since Rey arrived on The Young and the Restless, he’s been front and center. First, there was the triangle with the wife of his we’d never heard of and the brother we’d only just gotten to know.
That ended within the space of a few days, when their baby’s paternity was changed seemingly on the fly and, bye-bye, Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) and Arturo (Jason Canela).
The Young and the Restless Polling
Then he moved into a relationship with Sharon (Sharon Case). After investigating her, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) killing JT. And running everything else at the Genoa City Police Department in Paul’s (Doug Davidson) longer and longer absences.
Now he’s a rock for Sharon during her chemotherapy, giving parenting advice about Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) to Nick (Joshua Morrow), threatening Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) perfect, white teeth over Lola (Sasha Calle), and also periodically getting called into the police station to handle any and all crises that turn up.
But, sure, let’s operate from the assumption that he isn’t getting enough airtime. Should Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) get more? What over 3,000 said:
Rey Renaissance
Yes, please, 81% of the audience voted. We need to see Rey doing even more. Perhaps he could help Victoria recover from her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Join Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) in their quest to prove Victor (Eric Braeden) had something to do with the death of Mysterious Kansas Man? Become a foster dad for Jared, the suddenly very important surly teen? The sky’s the limit for our Rey!
Rey Reversal
Only 19% believe we’ve been seeing enough of Rey. He’s the perfect cop, the perfect boyfriend, the perfect brother, and the perfect not-quite stepdad. Why doesn’t he rest on his laurels for a bit? We wouldn’t want to wear the guy out. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
