Finding out about a character’s deep, dark past is one of the most fun parts of watching soaps, and this includes The Young and the Restless.
We’ve got people currently on the canvas who we could stand to learn more about. But who are fans interested in the most? What over 3,000 viewers told us:
Tell us more about the new rich guy on the scene, 49% of the audience demands. Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) could be a great financial rival for Victor (Eric Braeden). And a great romantic one for… pretty much anyone.
Sure, Kyle (Michael Mealor) is currently quaking in his handmade boots, assuming that Ashland has him in his sights. But Kyle is nothing to a man like Locke. Just think of all the damage he could do to anybody he felt like. But first, we need to know what he’s already done to those who got in his way in the past.
Elena (Brytni Sarpy) is bouncing from man to man, crying all the while, with seemingly no sense of what – or who – she wants. This instability is starting to look downright pathological, and 32% of the audience would like to learn more about Elena’s past so we might be able to understand what in the world is making her behave in such an irrational manner!
We’ve already met Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) mother, father, sister, and his cheating brother and wife. For some fans, we know quite a bit about Rey’s past. On the other hand, 19% are still hungry for more. There’s more to a man than just the family who screwed him over.
What about his professional past. How many bad guys has he put away? And what lengths did he have to go to do it? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
