Phyllis went crying to Jack and Nick on The Young and the Restless about how her life has fallen apart, sobbing about Billy cheating on her with Summer…to the man on whom she cheated with Billy.
And the guy she slept with while he was married to Sharon (who she cheated on Billy with just a few weeks prior).
Self-awareness, thy name is not Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Yet Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were tripping over themselves to make Phyllis feel better.
Do you feel sorry for the long-time schemer or do you think what goes around finally came around? Here’s what almost 10,000 had to say.
Nope, 78% blithely dismiss. Your memories are long. You remember back when Phyllis lied about Danny (Michael Damian) being Daniel’s father. You remember her terrorizing Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Paul (Doug Davidson).
You recall her breaking up Nick and Sharon (Sharon Case) and, oh, yeah, that whole cheating on Jack with his brother thing.
Why should you buy her crocodile tears now that she’s getting some of her own back, and from her little Supergirl, to boot? Phyllis deserves everything she gets – and a lot more.
Walked In Shoes
Only 23% of you are more generous. Phyllis poured her heart and soul into Billy (Jason Thompson). She stood by him when everyone else was ready to give up on the perennial screw-up.
She fought Ashley (Eileen Davidson) to keep Billy as CEO. And how did he repay her? He slept with Summer (Hunter King)! And not out of love or even lust! He did it solely to hurt Phyllis!
How can you not sympathize with a woman after that? Especially if, as many fans suspect, Summer is pregnant with Billy’s baby, and Phyllis is about to become a grandma (again).
