What could be more perfect to commemorate the end of summer, then a poll about Summer’s future on The Young and the Restless?
Ever since she’s returned to Genoa City, she’s gone from devil may care car thief who sleeps with married men, to a blackmailer who traded a piece of her liver for a man who made it clear he didn’t love, to an influencer hanger-on who is Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) biggest supporter.
So what’s next for Summer (Hunter King)? Here’s what almost 20,000 fans are hoping will happen:
Swept Clean
A majority 84% want to see her swept off her feet by a brand new man. And we mean brand new, not a new face on an old character. That means no Fen, no Scott, no Austin back from the dead, and definitely no Kyle.
Summer seems to be having trouble figuring out exactly who she is or wants to be, and slipping back into old patterns with old flames — or even old characters — is the last thing she needs.
Business First
It’s a lucky 13% of the audience that doesn’t give a flying fig about Summer’s love life. You want to see her become a business powerhouse. She’s got a standing offer to work for Grandpa Victor (Eric Braeden), and for one-time father-in-law, was briefly her father, Jack (Peter Bergman).
Some people have to work their way up. Summer has people begging her to start at the top. Just no work — or personal life — tips from Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).
Last Place
Do the 3% of you who suggested Summer marry Theo (Tyler Johnson) realize that it won’t even piss off Kyle all that much? Phyllis will come to terms with it, Nick (Joshua Morrow) has other stuff going on, and nobody else in town knows who Theo is.
How is that a good story for Summer? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
