What better season for Summer to return to The Young and the Restless (YR), played once again by Daytime Emmy winner Hunter King.

Summer is Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) daughter, though she was once thought to be Jack’s (Peter Bergman)… and – who knows – might be again. (Look at the havoc happening in the Abbott family right now due to an out of nowhere paternity reveal.)

Are viewers excited to have her back on-screen? Here’s how over 2,000 told us they feel:

Stay Away
Nope, 58% had no trouble voting. You haven’t missed her and, honestly, don’t see where she’d fit on the canvas. Abby (Melissa Oordway) is currently filling the blond heiress spot, while Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has snide brat living with Nick covered.

All of Summer’s former love interests are gone, which leaves Kyle (Michael Mealor), who was almost her brother, and maybe Arturo (Jason Canela).

But isn’t he juggling enough Newman women at the moment? Phyllis could use a talk to, sure, but doesn’t she have Billy (Jason Thompson) for that?

On the Other Hand…
But speaking of Billy, it turns out 42% of you must… that might be an interesting combo. Maybe it’s Phyllis’ turn to find out how it feels when the person you love cheats on you… with someone you also love. Summer hooking up with Billy is a story some of you would be down for.

You’re also open to a potential Kyle, Summer, and Tessa (Cait Faribanks) triangle. Tessa seems like the type who fights dirty, and could give the Genoa City princess a run for her privileged money.

And if Mariah gets involved, turning it into a quadrangle… Yeah, you could be down for that. The most important thing is that Summer doesn’t just return for the sake of returning, but that the writers actually give her something interesting to do!

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
