Is it The Young and the Restless, or is it The Adam Newman Show? Ever since Victor convinced his prodigal and amnesiac son to return to Genoa City, it’s been all Adam all the time.
He wants custody of Christian, he’s in business with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), he bought Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) apartment, he broke up Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), he’s blackmailing Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc), he’s driving Billy (Jason Thompson) insane, he reconnected with Connor (Judah MacKay) and now he wants Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), too.
In other words, Adam, Adam, Adam (Mark Grossman). Have the fans had enough? Would they prefer he return to his life of sand and sin in Vegas? Here’s how almost 8000 would like to see it go:
Get Lost
Yup, he can go, 85% of you agree. Adam might have been fine in small doses, but you see no reason for him to be on every day and have a thumb in every storyline. It’s not like his story appeals to you.
Adam has no right to take Christian away from Nick (Joshua Morrow), Chelsea and Sharon have moved on, and Billy only has a faint grasp on sanity as it is. Adam’s presence isn’t helping.
Adam says he was happy in Las Vegas. He can run along back there, look up Chance, and they can continue doing whatever it is they were doing before. No one in Genoa City will miss him.
Under My Skin
No, stay! It’s nice to have someone in Genoa City who doesn’t genuflect at the shrine of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), 15% of the audience counters. Someone who looks around and sees hypocrisy lurking behind every socially proper facade.
Adam tells it like it is, and that’s darn refreshing. Don’t go, stay. And let the Newmans have it! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
