It’s been quite a ride for Arturo on The Young and the Restless.
We first met him as a (very) handyman Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) used to work out her frustrations during her and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) fling with open marriage.
If Victor got to sleep around, so did Nikki. So she did. Then she decided it wasn’t all that much fun, though Arturo (Jason Canela) gave every indication of being a very satisfying extracurricular.
Oh, and also, Victor found out that Nikki was both sleeping with Arturo and using him in her low-income housing project. There may have been threats mumbled.
So, Arturo lost Nikki, but he got an awesome contract to work with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Oh, and he got Abby (Melissa Ordway). Not that Victor was too thrilled about that, either.
But now Mia (Noemi Gonzalez), Arturo’s sister-in-law – with whom he had an affair – is in town. She says she wants to make her marriage to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) work. So why does she keep hanging around his brother Arturo and baiting Abby?
Which woman is right for Arturo? Here’s what almost 7,000 viewers had to say.
Get Grabby With Abby
Abby, of course, 78% of you insist. For one thing, she’s not, what’s the word we’re looking for – insane.
She isn’t using Arturo in some sick family game. She’s actually grossed out that he used to sleep with Nikki. In this case, that’s a good thing. Abby is good for Arturo and vice-versa. And he brings a nice dose of middle class reality to the very entitled Newmans.
My Mia
Abby is boring, 21% of the audience dismisses. Mia livens up a room – and a show. She is a woman who knows what she wants, and she’s willing to go for it. Heiress Abby expects to be handed the world – and Arturo – on a silver platter.
