Y&R spoilers tease that Abby Chancellor finds Chance Chancellor in Spain, and she presumably brings him back to Genoa City. However, we speculate that it might not be quite the homecoming she’d hoped for.
Y&R Spoilers Wild Speculation: Chance Has PTSD
Abby (Melissa Ordway) somehow unraveled the case and found Chance with a couple he’d once told her he wanted to see and give his medal to. The wife stealthily let Abby know Chance was alive, and she jetted off to find her husband.
This story leaves many questions, such as why Chance wouldn’t let Abby know he was alive in the first place. Most likely, Chance thought his death would protect Abby and Dominic. However, what if there’s another reason? Instead of protecting his family, perhaps Chance has PTSD and no longer even wants his family.
Heartbreaking Reunion
All this time, Y&R spoilers showed Abby felt that Chance didn’t die in the safe house explosion. So she assumed that he couldn’t get back to her and Dominic. However, the truth seems like it’ll be different. Chance went somewhere purposefully, and he failed to contact Abby. So she thinks he needs to be rescued.

However, we speculate that Chance is overwhelmed, and too much happened while he was on his assignment for him to assimilate back into family life easily.
Instead of trying to come back to Genoa City and be a father and husband, we think Chance decided to ditch his family and focus on other things because it’s too hard to do anything else. Abby and her family and friends will be heartbroken when they realize the Chance who returns is nothing like the Chance who made all those promises to Abby all those months ago.
