Y&R spoilers weekly update for May 2 – 6, 2022, tease the week ahead is full of wise words for an oft-forgotten child and some unexpected news for a bride-to-be. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Genoa City!
Y&R Spoilers Weekly Recap
This week, the rest of Genoa City learned that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) died, and his family made preparations and began mourning him. However, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) seemed to bristle at being treated with kid gloves. Ultimately, she opened up to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), releasing some of her pent-up frustration at the whole situation. Then, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) gave her the shocking news that Rey died of a heart attack. That meant the accident was his fault and nobody else’s.
Speaking of the accident, Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) used it as an excuse to stick around since his deal with the Newmans didn’t specifically require him to leave Genoa City. Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) continued healing from her injuries, continued working, and continued keeping her lying liar of a husband at arm’s length.
Oh, and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) continued vexing Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) also learned her old nemesis hadn’t died when she “killed” her. Oopsie. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) came home, and he ended up agreeing to see his mom.
The Young and the Restless Week Ahead
Victor remembers he has another daughter, and he shares some wise words with Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance. Later in the week, he supports Victoria’s decision to name Nikki as her co-CEO in place of her disgraced husband Ashland. Of course, this situation leads Adam to consider cutting ties with his family but look for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to continue providing her loving support while gently pointing him in the right direction.
As the wedding planning for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) ramps up to a frantic pace, she finds herself on the receiving end of some unexpected news. It doesn’t seem like this detail will derail her upcoming nuptials to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), though.
