Y&R spoilers weekly update for January 24 – 28, 2022, tease the week ahead is full of one person putting their foot down, a couple turning up the romance, and a family splitting at the seams. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Genoa City!

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) told Abby Newman Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) that he wanted to be a bigger part of Dominic’s life, and that included legal recognition of his role. After Abby told him absolutely not, no way that’s happening. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) laid out a shocking truth. He agreed with Devon and thought Dominic would benefit from having him as a dad.
Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) rented out Society so she could fill it with balloons in order to propose to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). She gave a moving speech, they talked about how much they loved each other, and eventually, Mariah gave a resounding yes!
Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) keeps telling Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to keep away from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Of course, she doesn’t listen and goes to Adam the first chance she gets. Chelsea tells him she doesn’t want to work next to him anymore. She wants a new office, and she wants it now.
The Young and the Restless Week Ahead
To Chloe, it must seem like every time she speaks, no one listens. So it really isn’t all that surprising that she’s starting to lose her patience. Especially where Chelsea and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are concerned.
She’s worried that this back and forth between Sally and Chelsea will pull the focus away from their creative process and launching of Newman Fashion. Finally, someone is making sense! Chloe puts her foot down and says enough is enough. She’s done playing mediator and if Chelsea and Sally can’t put their differences aside for the good of the company… well then Chloe will not stand for it.
A rather unusually upbeat Mariah stops by the coffeehouse where Tessa is hanging out and asks to speak to her privately. With a series of visual aids, Mariah surprises Tessa with sweet reminders of their past together and all of the moments that make up their life. The romantic gesture ends with a sweet and shocking surprise. Tune in to see what unfolds!

After learning that her husband can’t be the dad she needs and wants for Dominic, Abby comes to a painful conclusion. Her happily ever after may never come, but she needs to do what is best for Dom moving forward. The decision must affect Devon, as we see him facing a new challenge head-on this week.
