The ultrasound brings great news for Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally (Courtney Hope). “Perfect little everything,” Sally says while staring at the sonogram photo. “I can’t believe we’re having a little baby girl,” Adam agrees. Oh yes, a girl!

Nick (Joshua Morrow) tries to not be a third wheel, but you can tell he’s feeling left out. His feelings get even more hurt when he tries to talk to his father about the whole thing. “She has both of you where she wants you. She’s playing you,” Victor (Eric Braeden) warns.

When Nick has enough, he throws the baby news at his dad. “Why can’t you just focus on the fact you have a new granddaughter and stop playing these games!” The strategy works, and Victor is shocked. “A granddaughter?!” See it all for yourself in the sneak peek video below.

The Young and the Restless History

Y&R made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in.
