Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Why Elena Dawson Is So Tired All the Time

What this story point is really trying to tell us.

Y&R spoilers speculation about Elena Dawson
 Comments

We get it, we really do: Elena Dawson has been under a lot of stress lately, and, as a doctor, her schedule is insane. But doesn’t it seem like Y&R spoilers have been saying she is just tired…like, all the time? She is always talking about being tired, lamenting about having been tired, napping, or wanting to take a nap — unless she’s drinking triple shots of espresso to keep all of the above at bay.

Y&R Spoilers Speculation

This has got to mean something, right? We wouldn’t be getting these words over and over again if they weren’t leading up to anything, would we? So here are a couple of theories:

Y&R: The Once and Obvious

Back in the day, being tired on a soap meant only one thing: Pregnancy. And we’d assume that was the case here, especially considering how fraught her relationship with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is at the moment. But Elena (Brytni Sarpy) has been tired for months now, with no visible cause or, more importantly, plot point.

Y&R Spoilers: The Big Sick

Sick on a soap could only mean a terminal, or, at the very least, life-threatening illness. But, when it comes to Elena, what would be the point of it? She doesn’t need body parts that might reveal a heretofore unknown relative. We know whose child she is, and even if her parentage is in question, we’re, again, not sure what effect it would have on the canvas.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Current Genoa City residents like Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) have faked terminal illnesses to hold onto their men, but Elena has Nate for the moment, so she doesn’t need to fake anything.

Young & Restless Spoilers: Getting On Board

Of course, in Elena’s case, her tiredness could just be a symptom of how bored she is with her relationship, and her life, in general. Maybe she is a metaphor for all of us in the audience, who would like to see something — anything — interesting happen. Otherwise, just the sight of Nate makes us sleepy.
