Y&R spoilers tease Summer coming face to face with her “dead” mother this week. That would seem to be the end of the road for this story. But what if it’s only the beginning?
Y&R Spoilers Speculation: In My Corner
Summer (Allison Lanier) feels so guilty over the way she treated Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) prior to her “death,” we doubt it will take much effort on her mom’s part to convince Summer that Diane (Susan Walters) and Jeremy (James Hyde) were plotting together to murder Phyllis and steal her money.
That’s why Jeremy married her! But Phyllis was one step ahead of those fiends! She faked her death, murdered Jeremy (who totes deserved it), and now the only thing left is to make sure that Diane pays for her crimes. Is Summer ready to help Mommy lay some justice on Genoa City?
Young & Restless: For Your Own Good
Now, a reasonable person might ask, “How does Summer framing his mom for murder allow her marriage to Kyle [Michae Mealor] to survive?” But Phyllis is now a reasonable person! She will explain to Summer, in that calm and not at all deranged way she has, that this will only make Summer’s marriage stronger!

Right now, Summer and Kyle are having problems because she thinks Diane is guilty, and Kyle thinks that Diane is innocent. But once Summer proves Diane’s guilt in scheming with Jeremy to murder and rob Phyllis, that obstacle will be removed, and they will live happily ever after. You see?
Y&R Spoilers: Icing on the Cake
What’s more, Phyllis figured out that not only did Jeremy marry her so that Diane could knock Phyllis off and then she and Jeremy would share in the money she left him, but Diane is also plotting to marry Jack (Peter Bergman), kill him, and take off with his money! Once Summer busts this plot wide open for Kyle, all of the Abbotts will be so grateful. Really, this is the best thing that could happen to her marriage! Think this speculation could really happen?
