 Comments

Y&R spoilers made it clear that Heather did not want to defend her ex’s mother. Not only has Phyllis always been pretty rotten to Heather, but Heather isn’t even with Phyllis’s son anymore.

Y&R Spoilers Speculation

She tried to get out of it but ended up taking Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) case anyway, when the attorney of record, Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc), had to mysteriously leave on a mysterious trip for mysterious reasons. And Heather (Vail Bloom) is doing her best for Phyllis…within the parameters of the law.

Y&R: Robust Legal Defense

Heather went to bat for Phyllis with Christine (Lauralee Bell). Heather looked Christine right in the eye and claimed that Lucy’s grandmother was innocent of all charges and more of a victim than a villain. Christine did not snort directly in her face. Because she’s classy that way. So Heather is in there, fighting the good fight.

Y&R Spoilers: Through the Years

Heather really wants to believe that Phyllis is innocent. She wants it for Daniel (Michael Graziadei), she wants it for Lucy, and she even wants it for Summer (Allison Lanier). Which is why Heather is burning the midnight oil, reading everything she can get her hands on, filing every document to review the evidence that she can, to set Phyllis free.

Young & Restless: Be Careful What You Wish For

Which is how Heather will stumble over that crucial piece of evidence that proves….that Phyllis is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, guilty. Heather is an officer of the court. She took an oath to honor the system. Heather has a choice. She can bury the evidence and defend her client. She can quit the case and risk another attorney burying the evidence in order to defend their client. Or she can continue prosecuting the case, lay out everything that she knows, just like the law requires…and end up tanking her case. What will Heather do if this situation ends up happening?
