Y&R spoilers reveal Chelsea Lawson plans to stick around Genoa City for a while after feeling wishy-washy at first. When she recently bumped into Sharon Rosales and Rey Rosales at Crimson Lights, we noticed a strange vibe between Rey and Chelsea as she made her amends with Sharon.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation: An Affair to Remember
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) appears to have a soft spot for Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). However, when we saw the two flirting a bit over Anita Lawson’s (Catherine Bach) crush on Rey, there seemed to be a bit more than that going on between the two of them. He seemed eager to forgive and forget, but he also appeared somewhat nervous.
Of course, Rey might sympathize with Chelsea because he also saw what happened between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sharon (Sharon Case). However, we think their connection goes deeper than their mutual concern about Adam and Sharon or Chelsea’s mom’s crush.
The vibe between Rey and Chelsea indicates yet another off-screen moment that viewers know nothing about. We think while Rey provided security for Chelsea when she stayed with Anita, he and Chelsea ended up sleeping together.

It may not seem like something Rey would do, but Y&R spoiler teased in the past that he ended up falling in love with Sharon while he still had a wife, so it’s not completely out of character. Given his frustration over Sharon and Adam’s situation, we could see how he might have found solace with the other person who felt betrayed by it.
Young and the Restless: Future Complications
Now that Chelsea’s back, we suspect that she and Rey might secretly resume their affair. Perhaps it won’t be purposeful, but something will happen, and they’ll end up succumbing to their attraction again. In an interesting twist, what if Chelsea becomes pregnant?
That sure would complicate the Rosales marriage, especially since Rey wants children but realized that Sharon felt that part of her life was behind her. Who would he choose? Would Sharon even give him a choice? Think this speculation could happen? Let us know in the comments section below.
