Y&R spoilers made it clear that Summer Newman hated Sally Spectra at first sight. So Phyllis Summers hated her in motherly solidarity. Summer hated Sally because she assumed her life was so awesome, Sally must covet it, complete with her job – and boyfriend. Phyllis hated Sally because she knew a scheming, social-climbing redhead when she saw one. And there was only room for one scheming, social-climbing redhead in Jack Abbott’s life.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) thought Jack (Peter Bergman) and Sally (Courtney Hope) were dunzo when he overheard her saying mean things about Summer. But Sally invited Jack for a drink. And Jack accepted. Time for Phyllis to nip that in the bud, according to over 2,000 viewers:

A majority 58% of the audience needs Phyllis to go all out and destroy Sally. Sure, Phyllis doesn’t know that Sally was responsible for driving Summer (Hunter King) out of town, but since when does Phyllis need a motive to be rotten? Not to mention, Jack does not find Sally utterly repulsive. That’s as good of a reason as any for Phyllis to make sure he does – soon.

Stand Back and Watch

A smaller 37% of you don’t think Sally and Jack need Phyllis to self-destruct. They can do it all on their own. It’s not just the age difference. It’s not just that Jack is manor born and bred and Sally is trailer trash. It’s that Jack knows when a woman wants him for himself – and not his money. And you don’t expect Sally to ever get there.

Drastic Times Call For Drastic Measures

If Phyllis wants to separate Jack from Sally there is only one thing to do, 5% assert. She needs to throw herself at her ex-husband. (Nick Newman, who?) Once he has Phyllis back, Jack will never be able to look at another woman again… according to Phyllis.
