Y&R spoilers tease that things between Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor and Devon Hamilton stay tense as they figure out shared custody of Dominic. The entire time Chance Chancellor was gone, Abby had it in her mind that he would return, and the three of them would be one happy family. But, of course, since his return, they’ve been anything but that, and Abby faces her shattered dreams, realizing she won’t live happily ever after.
Y&R Spoilers Spec: Abby Loses Her Happily Ever After
When has Abby ever experienced a true happily ever after? She’s had failed relationships with Austin Travers (Matthew Atkinson), Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan), and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela). Unfortunately, these romances went down in flames, leaving Abby alone once again. She even tried her hand at dating Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but it never really went anywhere.
However, with Chance (Conner Floyd), she thought it’d be different. They had a triumphant wedding, uniting three Genoa City power families — the Chancellors, the Abbotts, and the Newmans. Abby and Chance planned to begin their own dynasty, carrying on their families’ legacies and creating a new one of their own.
Sadly, fate kept getting in their way, from their fertility problems to Chance’s big assignment. While Chance was away fighting the bad guys despite all odds, Abby managed to start a family for them anyway, along with Devon (Bryton James) and Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) help.
Through it all, Y&R spoilers showed Abby kept the faith. Stitch kidnapped Mariah, but Abby powered through. Devon delivered Dominic, and everything was fine. Mariah felt overly attached to the baby, but it was no biggie for Abby. Everybody told her Chance was dead, but she took it upon herself to go find him, willing them to be together again.

Shattered Dreams
After all the drama, Abby had Chance and Dominic at home. She simply didn’t count on Chance’s brokenness. Even when her husband begged her to hear him, Abby didn’t seem open to understanding just how lousy Chance felt about everything that had happened. It’s like she thought she could will that away too.
Abby continued to push him to be okay and be a family, but it wasn’t working for Chance. After he admitted that to Devon, the latter stepped in on behalf of Dominic. We speculate that Y&R spoilers will hint that Abby won’t be able to stand their new arrangement, and she’ll begin to resent Chance for inviting Devon more deeply into their lives.
Ultimately, we think Abby will leave Chance, but we’re not quite sure where that’ll leave the baby. What do you think? Can this marriage be saved? Let us know in the comments section below.
