The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) for Tuesday, January 16 are a case of massive over-reach as Nikki and Nick decide they know exactly what needs to happen in order to end homelessness in Genoa City once and for all.
Round Up the Usual Suspects
Sharon (Sharon Case) invited Kathy, a homeless woman she met 15 minutes earlier, as well as her two school-aged children, to move in with her, Mariah (Camryn Grimes), and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind).
Nick (Joshua Morrow) was so concerned about Faith’s safety, that Sharon offered to have Faith movie in with Nick and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Eagan), for the duration.
Nick vented to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), who was equally horrified and stomped over to Sharon’s to give her a piece of her mind. But then Nikki learned that Sharon’s new project was Kathy, the woman who stole Nikki’s purse over Christmas, and whose name convinced Nikki she was a message from the late Kay (Jeanne Cooper).
Now, Nikki loves the idea of Sharon taking in strangers. And she is suddenly deeply concerned about the lack of affordable housing in Genoa City.
Add to this Nick’s newfound passion for public green spaces, and the pair is teaming up to solve both problems in time for the next commercial break!
Do You See What I See?
Nick disowned? Check. Nikki back under his thumb? Check. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) re-installed as the favorite child, and Abby (Melissa Ordway) kicked to the curb? Check.
Everything is exactly where Victor (Eric Braeden) needs it to be. Which is why he’s unprepared for this last swerve out of left field. But that doesn’t mean he won’t be taking advantage of it.
New Year, New Plan
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has made it clear she is not interested in Mariah (Camryn Grimes) romantically. Does that mean Mariah might be reconsidering her breakup with Devon (Bryton James)? Wait till she hears what Hilary (Mishael Morgan) has planned!
