The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) reveal Jack trying to overcome his newfound non-Abbott identity and make his own way in the world.
A New Life
The DNA test results crisis have left Jack (Peter Bergman) reeling and searching for a way to be okay without Abbott blood running though his veins.
He went from being John’s eldest heir and heading the family company to losing it all. He’s quit Jabot, moved out of the family home, and is now trying to rebrand himself as a self-made man.
Jack wants to start anew and that means building himself–and a company–from the ground up. Well, sort of new. He still wants to be in skin care and cosmetics, just without the Jabot name stamped on all the products.
Jack Can’t Go It Alone
Unfortunately, creating a startup isn’t easy and Jack will need some serious help in the financial department.
He may have all the contacts and decades of experience, but it’s not like he can make, market, and ship the products from his room at the club.
A Plea For Help
This means Jack will have to sell himself and his ideas and pray someone, somewhere will have faith in him. Of course, his first stop is to Hamilton-Winters.
Jack hopes his history with Neil and the fact they co-own The Winters-Abbott foundation together will be enough clout to get his foot in the door. Of course, Neil being his best friend would be more than happy to help–if he had the cash.
Jack Gets Shot Down
Unfortunately, HW has stretched itself a little too thin with all it has going on, and since Jack can’t bring money to the table, neither can they. It’s too high of a risk for their little venture and Neil kindly turns Jack away.
It’s a blow to the former powerhouse as he realizes his resume doesn’t mean much. Just weeks ago he had it all and now he’ll have to beg and grovel to get even a single tube of lipstick out into the marketplace.
